Waterview Connection

Over the next couple of weeks we will be learning about the Waterview Connection project and how it will benefit our community. Today we were lucky enough to have Justice come and speak to Te Moana Whanau about the project so far.

Year 8 Prefect Speeches

Well done to Tymira, Pauline, Alimayne, Jordyn, Zhi Feng and Estiphanos who all presented speeches today about why they should be head boy or girl. You all did me, your class and yourselves proud. Watch this space to find out who the head boy and girl will be for 2016.

Working as Part of a Community

This week we have been learning about developing a community within our classroom to support and look after each other. Today students had to work together as part of a team to complete the weekly quiz on current events. 

Week 1

Room 1 would like to welcome Miss Esekielu to our class. She will be with us until week four and then return again in the middle of the year. We look forward to sharing our learning adventure with you! 

As you can see we are already hard at work! This week we have been learning about being part of a community, understanding what we read and the place value of whole numbers.
